FAA offers Speaker Resource Meetings and social events for individuals on the autism spectrum, parents, professionals, and caregivers. Meetings feature expert speakers on cutting-edge topics that impact Teens and Adults on the autism spectrum. The FAA speaker sessions provide an opportunity to strengthen the family and professional network. In addition to these Speaker Resource Meetings, FAA offers Social Events for the entire family. Teen Workshops FAA presents a series of workshops by seasoned professionals, hand-picked for their ability to capture and keep the interest of our spectrum Teens (13 – 17 years). These workshops cover topics that concern both parents and teens and are geared toward setting up our teens for future success. Young Adult Workshops Young Adults on the spectrum face unique challenges, and parents need to offer support but also know when to back away to foster independence. FAA presents workshop series on various aspects of adulthood led by dynamic experts in their fields. Last year’s workshops focused on employment, housing, communication, relationships and dating.
