Overview
This accessibility statement applies to The California Self-Determination Program (SDP) Network website, available at https://www.thecasdpnetwork.org/. The California SDP Network website was developed by Public Partnerships Ltd (PPL) in partnership with the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center and Education Spectrum.
This website is intended to be used by Californians in the neurodiverse community find people, organizations, and programs to provide services for them.
We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
How to use the website?
This section how to use accessible features in the website.
This website should allow a user to do the following :-
- Modify the line height or spacing of text.
- Zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the page.
- Navigate most of website using a keyboard.
- Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software.
- Use UserWay Accessibility Widget to change color contrast, pause animations and highlight links
UserWay Accessibility Widget
The California SDP Network website makes available the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows the website to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
To use widget a user must have JavaScript turned on in the browser. Please review other resources for further details on how to do this.
How to Use the Accessibility Menu (UserWay)
To activate the Accessibility Menu, click the person icon at the bottom left of the page or press the Ctrl+U keyboard shortcut.
The Accessibility Menu will load giving users the following options :-
- 4 different Color Contrast controls
- Highlight links
- Pause Animations
- Text resizing
- Text spacing
- Dyslexia Friendly style sheet
Accessibility Regulations and Compliance Level
This website is developed to follow California Government Code Sections 7405 and 1135. To achieve the website has been designed to be compliant against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, or a subsequent version, at a minimum compliance Level AA.
Known Issues
The “Known Issues” section explains the parts of the website that do not meet current accessibility standards since we last tested this website.
JavaScript Issues
Some features work with JavaScript. When JavaScript is turned off the following features will not work:-
- UserWay Accessibility Widget
- Progressive disclosure menu items will not expand
- Embedded Video
To resolve this please make sure JavaScript is turned on inside your browser.
Keyboard issues
“My Shortlist” is not accessible using a keyboard and causes a “Keyboard Trap”. We have removed this focus control from the keyboard tabbed index while we resolve this issue.
Users using a mouse or touchscreen should still be able to use this functionality. Keyboard users will still be able to navigate around the whole website.
