Interwoven Occupational Therapy

Interwoven occupational therapy provides services in an animal assisted therapy setting. We use caretaking for our horses, chickens and rabbits as the context for our sessions together. We serve children, adolescents, and young adults. Our program for children works with people who require medically necessary occupational therapy. We work on fine motor, visual motor, sensory, and functional life skills to help these kids participate in the things they need to do, want to do, and are expected to do. We also serve adolescents who are having difficulty or anxiety with entering the work force. Through functional activities and hands on practice, Interwoven coaches these young adults on starting and finding their first jobs. Finally, we serve profoundly disabled young adults who have aged out of school-based services and support. Interwoven can help this population on a short-term basis to find and participate in meaningful community-based experiences.
