Uniquely Behavioral Health LLC

Early Intervention ABA Services Our Early Intervention Services are designed for children ages 2 to 6, and provide intensive treatment in the early years of our clients’ lives using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our program is comprehensive and individualized to cater to the unique needs of each child. We focus on teaching foundational skills that empower children to communicate and advocate for their wants and needs, interact with others to create meaningful relationships, follow necessary verbal instructions (particularly around safety), develop self-soothing and co-/self-regulation behaviors, and even achieve toilet-training milestones. Our approach involves a thorough assessment of each child, ensuring that we target meaningful and specific needs. Child ABA Services We have designed a specialized treatment program for children between the ages of 6 and 12, taking into account their unique developmental stages and ability levels. Our program is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and focuses on three key areas: reducing symptoms of nervous system dysregulation (commonly referred to as reducing challenging behavior), promoting skill acquisition, and providing comprehensive caregiver training. We prioritize addressing the environmental variables that hinder the learning process of the client and may be leading to nervous system dysregulation. By identifying and altering these variables, we hope to create a safe, supportive, and rich environment conducive to effective learning. This allows us to maximize skill acquisition and help children develop age-appropriate levels of independence. In addition to skill acquisition, we understand the importance of generalizing all skills learned in a controlled setting across various natural environments. To achieve this, we provide intensive caregiver training. By involving and collaborating with caregivers in the treatment process, we ensure that the skills learned in our program can be applied and reinforced in the child's everyday life, whether it be at home, school, or in the community. Home-Based Services Our mission is to offer support precisely where it is needed the most, ensuring an elevated quality of life for all, which is why we offer our Home-Based Services. Because many of our clients spend the majority of their day in the home with their family, this environment holds the potential for the most significant clinical results and impact. Through our Home-Based Services, families will work closely with their assigned RBT and BCBA to create and implement a home-based program that supports the family as a whole. Interventions will not only be implemented by the assigned staff, but also by caregivers who will be trained to implement intervention strategies themselves. By adopting this approach, we are able to provide a compassionate, comprehensive, and all-encompassing experience that transfers skills across various settings and individuals, ensuring lasting impact for years to come. Community-Based Services In order to ensure generalization of skills, teaching must occur in a variety of settings and environments, within and outside the home and clinical environment. We provide comprehensive services wherever they are needed. Our Community-Based Services teach community integration skills, which include community walks, outings to the park, and other leisure locations. Common skills targeted include: restaurant skills, safety skills, social awareness, grocery shopping, medical/dental appointments, haircut appointments, travel training, and more. We are committed to meeting our clients in the field and ensuring they have the opportunities and support necessary to become integral members of their communities. School-Based Services Our School-Based Services encompass a range of offerings depending on your child’s needs. These offerings include conducting thorough Functional Behavioral Assessments, training and consultation for school staff, direct one-on-one support for your child in the school environment. Completing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) allows us to analyze behaviors to determine the variables that increase or decrease the likelihood of the behavior occurring. Based on the FBA, we develop a treatment plan tailored to the school environment. Staff training and consultation equips school staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support your child's development, manage symptoms of dysregulation, and teach co-/self-regulation strategies. Our behavior technicians are available to accompany your child within the school/classroom environment. In the classroom, our technicians act as a bridge between your child, their peers, and teachers to enhance socialization and educational learning. Uniquely will collaborate with your child’s school team to create an appropriate treatment plan, which may include behavior intervention, setting up schedules of reinforcement, outlining prompting strategies, establishing communication support systems, and/or implementing sensory diets. Supporting your child within the school environment allows us the opportunity to apply the skills learned during one-on-one sessions to a dynamic group environment. Parent Training Services At Uniquely, we recognize the importance of caregiver participation in our treatment programs. We understand that the family system plays a crucial role in the success of our clients, and we have developed a specialized treatment approach that focuses on harnessing this family systems model. Our approach acknowledges that each client is part of a larger network that requires behavioral change to achieve treatment goals. We believe that involving and training immediate family members is essential for establishing continuity of care and maximizing treatment gains. We also extend our training to additional family members or caregivers who have regular and routine care responsibilities for the individual receiving services. By involving caregivers in our treatment programs, we aim to create a collaborative and supportive environment that empowers families to actively participate in the treatment process. Through comprehensive training, we equip caregivers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively support their loved ones and contribute to their overall well-being. We believe that by working together, we can achieve meaningful and lasting behavioral change for our clients. Social Skills Services We assess each client’s social skills so that goals meet each client’s individual social needs. Our Social Skills program includes the following development areas: language and communication skills, conversation skills, friendship skills, play skills, perspective taking, empathy, conflict resolution, social problem solving, executive functioning skills, emotional regulation, and more. By equipping your child with their own individualized social skills tools and strategies, we can support them in navigating social situations more confidently, building meaningful relationships, and achieving a greater level of social competence. Our ultimate goal is to improve the overall well-being and quality of life for every individual and family that completes our program. Cross-Disciplinary Clinical Collaboration We recognize the importance of coordination and collaboration among various external service providers to provide the best possible care for your child. At the request of parents/caregivers (and with service provider approval), we can conduct onsite observations of your child during non-Uniquely therapy sessions, such as speech services, occupational therapy services, and physical therapy services. This allows us to establish continuity of care across disciplines and providers for a consistent whole-person care experience. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, we can integrate goals provided by external service providers into our therapy sessions as necessary. By doing so, we ensure a cohesive approach to treatment. We encourage and facilitate progress monitoring between providers to the fullest extent possible. This helps to maximize treatment gains and ensures the maintenance and generalization of acquired skills across various settings. Consultation Services Our Consultation Services are specifically tailored to provide parents and schools with the necessary support when direct intervention is not necessary or feasible. We offer supplemental behavioral support to parents and schools based on a thorough understanding of the individual's behavior after conducting a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA). The FBA helps us identify the underlying functions and triggers of dysregulated behaviors. Using the information gathered from the FBA, we develop a comprehensive behavior intervention plan. This plan is customized to address the specific needs and challenges of the individual. It is designed to reduce the occurrence of dysregulated behaviors (commonly referred to as challenging behaviors) and increase the occurrence of appropriate replacement behaviors.
