Ashford Speech and Advocacy is owned by Colleen Ashford, a bilingual speech-language pathologist and special-education advocate serving clients of all ages in North San Diego County (Oceanside, Bonsall, Fallbrook, Vista, San Marcos, Carlsbad, Escondido). Summer 2025, we will be providing community integration program for young adults (ages 21-40) at Lucky Strike Bowling in San Marcos, once a week for seven weeks. This program offers a supportive environment where a small number of participants can practice conversational skills, self-advocacy, transitions, problem solving, and completing transactions for food and beverages. Students in an SLP graduate program join program director, Colleen Ashford SLP, serving as conversational partners and scaffolding support with executive functioning in a way that meets each participant at their level. In this program we emphasize autonomy and believe in treating adults as adults. While led by an SLP, this program will not be speech therapy, rather an opportunity for community integration and recreation! AAC users welcome. 1:1 aides welcome. Space is extremely limited, call or email to inquire. Ashford Speech and Advocacy P.C. accepts SDP for Special Education Advocacy services for clients ages 3-14 years. Services are sold as packages inclusive of 5, 10 or 15 hours of support during a calendar year. All hours are billed equally, regardless if they are face-to-face or are record-review/write-up/communications. Email to inquire.
