Ashford Speech and Advocacy is owned by Colleen Ashford, a bilingual speech-language pathologist and special-education advocate serving clients of all ages in North San Diego County (Oceanside, Bonsall, Fallbrook, Vista, San Marcos, Carlsbad, Escondido). 

Augmentative Alternative Communication is a passion of mine and I work with AAC users of all ages including adults. If your loved one already has an iPad or tablet with a communication app such as Proloquo2go, Touchchat, GoTalkNow or TDSnap, but you are stuck with how to program it and model effectively and authentically, I would love to walk with you on your AAC journey. I offer a 10 session package for $2000 with option to use SDP.

The 10-week program is designed to empower parents and care providers (family, respite, RBT, day-program) with the knowledge and skills to support the client in effectively using their AAC device. Each hour-long session alternates between in-person and telehealth formats to ensure a balance of hands-on learning, real-time practice, and convenience. The program also emphasizes the importance of using AAC to facilitate communication, understanding operational features, customizing vocabulary, and advocating for AAC in an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or (IPP).

Ashford Speech and Advocacy P.C. also accepts SDP for Special Education Advocacy services for clients ages 3-14 years within California. All hours are billed at $150/hr regardless if they are face-to-face or are record-review/write-up/communications. Email to inquire!
