Darlene Norman

Darlene Norman is a proud parent of a child with a health and developmental disability resulting in both medical and educational complex needs. As a parent, her family elected to transition to the Self Determination Program in order to maximize her child's regional center services and supports that are customized to meet the unique and unmet needs. She has walked a similar path to you, navigating multiple systems (e.g. educational, medical, developmental/community-based disability services) in order to serve her child. Prior to parenthood, Darlene's training and background began in educational support services as a school psychologist. She expanded into the educational administration as a program specialist and special education director. She enjoys working in the public educational sector as well as in private practice.
