MICHELLE SMITH

I have been serving individuals receiving RC services since 1982 as a physical therapist. My husband and I have three children who are in SDP. As I learned more about SDP and the need for more opportunities in the Central Valley, as well as educating sel-advocates and their families regarding SDP, I became an Independent facilitator. I am a co-founder of Wayfinders at Fresno State University and have been involved with bringing Project SEARCH to our community. I received my Masters Degree in curriculum development in 2018 as I also believe there is more than one way to teach and demonstrate what is learned. Being an IF is creative and innovative passion, with the opportunity to mentor others and encourage self-advocates and their families on the journey of a "meaningful life"
