Naomi Hagel, M.S./ Phoenix Facilitation

Naomi Hagel, the founder of Phoenix Facilitation, holds a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and is a Credentialed Person-Centered Thinking Trainer via The Learning Community for Person-Centered Practices. She recently recieved training in the Self-Determined Learning Model of Instruction (SDLMI) and has past experience with dual diagnoses, psychiatric/psychotropic medications, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and the Regional Center system as both a vendor and staff. Her passion lies in ensuring that all individuals with developmental disabilities have their rights respected and are able to access all services they are entitled to through generic and Regional Center funded sources. She has a particular interest in working with historically underserved communities and those impacted by disparities in service delivery, as well as working with self-advocates. Naomi takes pride in her extensive knowledge of the Lanterman Act and Self-Determination; she previously successfully onboarded over 40 individuals to this new service delivery system as a manager at a Regional Center. She and her team are available for advocacy, Person-Centered Planning, and Independent Facilitation in the traditional and Self-Determination Regional Center systems, as well as consultation for generic resources including school district services and In-Home Supportive Services, throughout the state of California, both virtually and in-person (travel fees may apply.) Phoenix Facilitation's services can be paid for via Person-Centered Planning Funding (024), Self-Determination funding as Independent Facilitation (code 340), and/or private payment. Phoenix Facilitation is able and prepared to support participants and families through all aspects of the Regional Center processes, up to and including preparation for, guidance through, and representation at Fair Hearings.
