Hi, I'm Monica Star. I was born and raised in a Humboldt County, and have been a professional artist, and small business owner here for 20+ years. I also studied East Indian medicine at The Northwest Institute of Ayurveda, and became a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner in 2010. Over the years, I have worked with several disabled clients, and witnessed their positive experiences with the Self Determination Program. After seeing the freedom and empowerment it can offer, I became inspired to spread awareness about it, and work to make it more accessible. I am passionate about helping people optimize the resources available to them, and creatively restructure their lives to best meet their unique needs and desires. As your Independent Facilitator, I will be there to support you every step of the way.
